St. Michael Academy, a small private K-8 school on Amelia Island in Florida, generates a significant portion of its operating budget from its annual gala, which includes a silent auction of luxury items. The school asked us to create a video that would encourage guests to bid generously, by highlighting the students voicing the school’s infrastructure needs.
Budget was an issue, so we decided to use that to their advantage, producing a piece that conveyed the low-budget feel with high energy. Once complete, we helped the school market the video through social media, creating a pre-event buzz. The end result was a well-received premier and a record-setting amount of auction dollars bid.
