How does Google Adwords work?
In basic terms, it allows a business to set and manage a daily maximum advertising budget and a maximum amount per click. This means costs can be controlled tightly, helping to maximize advertising ROI.
Google PPC also gives you control of keywords to target, ad location, time of day or week that ads run, ad content, website landing pages and devices to target (iPhones, for instance).
But PPC success is not automatic. Campaigns with incorrect settings and haphazard management don’t maximize profit at best, and lose money at worst. For every well run account, there’s a business using Adwords the wrong way, losing money, and spreading the word that PPC “doesn’t work.”
The truth is, it does work. But profitable PPC campaigns take time and analytics expertise, along with a thorough grasp of the Adwords system.
